#SleevesGrowTrees

On October 30, Sleeve a Message and Washington University Dining Services together in a partnership with Bon Appetit Management Company, worked together in conjunction with Forest ReLeaf of Missouri to plant 51 trees on Washington University’s main campus as part of our Sustainable Sleeve Program. To date, Washington University has planted 280 trees!

Designed to preserve the earth’s natural resources, the sustainability program is composed of two parts and is the centerpiece of Sleeve a Message’s efforts to operate in an environmentally friendly manner. Part one – Sleeve a Message uses the greenest materials possible. Their coffee sleeves are made from 90-percent post consumer material, are 100-percent recyclable because they only use water based inks. Part two – Sleeve a Message’s partnership with Forest ReLeaf of Missouri. For every 7,000 sleeves Sleeve a Message produces, a tree is planted in a distressed U.S. Community on behalf of their clients.

Forest ReLeaf of Missouri & Working with Sleeve a Message

Since its establishment in 1993, Forest ReLeaf of Missouri has spearheaded the way to a greener environment. Forest ReLeaf’s mission is to provide trees of public and nonprofit planting and present educational programs to increase stewardship of the tree and forest reflects. It is a natural fit for two eco-minded companies to team up, and since Sleeve a Message’s partnership with Forest ReLeaf of Missouri more than 3,700 trees have been planted.
